Join Cameron Mackenzie, Livestock Manager, for a morning at Rock Bottom Ranch, and learn how to make the most of a pasture-raised, whole chicken! We’ll walk you through humane chicken harvest. Each participant will have the opportunity to go through the full step-by-step butchery process (slaughter to freezer) on their own RBR chicken. Everyone will bring home their own butchered chicken! We will have freezer bags available to take your chicken cuts home, feel free to bring tupperware if you prefer. You must register in advance to secure your spot! The cost for this workshop is $120 per person and includes a ~4lb chicken. The workshop will be held from 9am-1pm. Please park in our main lot and walk down the path to our main center where we will meet. Accessible parking is located by our main center. Rock Bottom Ranch is located at 2001 Hooks Spur Road, Basalt, CO 81621. Email [email protected] or call 970-927-6760 with any questions.
